Private and Confidential Email
We are questioned on a daily basis about how to deal with serious health concerns. Please see below why we are not allowed to provide any answers. In order to be of some help we send people a Private and Confidential Email with a list of healthcare professionals and several discussion groups.
Please remember never to replace diagnosis from a qualified health care professional with a self-diagnosis, and always qualify your health care professional. We do not guarantee any of the health care professionals on the list we send you.
To receive this list, simply send us an e-mail request to Service@DrClarkStore.com, and we will send it to you. In order to follow government regulations, we also include several links to the FDA* and the FTC.
Why No Answers?
As soon as a company makes claims (based on science) that a particular food supplement helps treat a disease, this food supplement (by force of law) becomes a drug. In order sell a drug, the research behind it has to be so thorough and intensive that it has recently been estimated that an average new drug costs between $800 million and one billion dollars to launch.
"Cinnamon helps treat Disease X" is an example of a drug claim.
This statement, although supported by scientific research, is not legally permitted, because now, thanks to the words “treat” and “Disease,” Cinnamon has become a drug. Before making the above claim the compound called Cinnamon must by law undergo rigorous double blind studies that cost hundreds of millions of dollars. Of course no one can conduct such a study because Cinnamon is not patentable (not yet, although we may be sure Monsanto is working on it).
Anyone who would invest in researching Cinnamon up to FDA standards would be foolish for two reasons. First, any company marketing Cinnamon could easily utilize the research and compete with the company that put up the money. Second, if the compound is effective, the FDA would undoubtedly require that the product only be available by doctor’s prescription. Moreover, because MDs are not herbal practitioners, they would most likely not prescribe food supplements such as Cinnamon.
For the above reasons, many of the protocols that Dr. Hulda Clark has written about in her books have not been researched according to FDA Standards. You will discover that we have no claims on our website maintaining that our products can help treat or cure any disease. We are only allowed to make "structure and function" claims on how food supplements can support good health. We are also careful to not make referrals involving claims that are not in accordance with FDA regulations. Even testimonials by our customers are considered by US and Canadian government officials to be detrimental to the public.
*The FDA receives $160 million yearly from pharmaceutical corporations. This amount is projected to become $260 million in 2007 and to fund 55% of the FDA's staff that reviews drugs.
